As part of its commitment to fostering cultural understanding and meaningful workplace experiences, PANDORA recently welcomed Aboriginal Incursions to deliver an engaging Aboriginal cultural activity featuring a Paint Your Own Boomerang workshop as part of NAIDOC week celebrations.
The experience provided team members with the opportunity to learn about the rich history, traditions, and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in an interactive and respectful environment. Participants explored the cultural significance of the boomerang, the meanings behind traditional Aboriginal symbols, and the importance of storytelling through art.
Guided by Aboriginal cultural educators, each participant created their own unique boomerang design while learning about connection to Country, culture, community, and the ongoing traditions that continue to thrive today. The workshop encouraged creativity, conversation, and a deeper appreciation of Australia’s First Nations cultures.
The session was filled with enthusiasm as the PANDORA team embraced the opportunity to connect through art, ask questions, and gain valuable cultural knowledge. Experiences like these help build cultural awareness, strengthen relationships, and promote respectful understanding within the workplace.
