Aboriginal Incursions Pty Ltd was proud to partner with ALDI to deliver an inspiring Cultural Competency and Team Building experience, bringing employees together through creativity, connection, and a deeper understanding of Aboriginal culture.
The experience began with an engaging Cultural Competency session, where participants explored the richness of Australia’s First Nations cultures, the significance of Country, cultural protocols, storytelling, and the importance of building respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through open discussion and shared learning, the ALDI team gained valuable insights into the world’s oldest living continuous culture and the role each of us can play in supporting reconciliation.
Following the cultural learning session, the team worked collaboratively to create a stunning two-metre Aboriginal-inspired canvas artwork. Guided by our Aboriginal educators, participants contributed their own section of the canvas while learning about the meaning of traditional symbols, storytelling through art, and the importance of connection, community, and shared journeys.
As each brushstroke came together, the artwork became a powerful symbol of teamwork, unity, and respect. The finished canvas not only reflected the creativity of the ALDI team but also serves as a lasting reminder of their commitment to cultural awareness, inclusion, and reconciliation.
